Origine:Araméen, biblique

Le terme est une exclamation Araméene apparaissant dans l’Épître aux Corinthiens1) et signifiant soit “Viens, Seigneur!”, soit “Notre Seigneur est venu!”.

Si à l'origine l'expression sers à demander d'avancer la parousie, elle s'utilise souvent comme un expression de louange exaltée sans contenu précis.
